ONE of Oldham leading care homes is celebrating after landing two awards.
Stoneswood, in Oldham Road, Delph, which is undergoing major changes aimed at creating one of the borough’s first retirement villages, has landed ISO9001 for its procedures and also been awarded Investors in People.
Director Christine Tilley, from Grasscroft, said: “The care home sector is not always viewed in a positive light, so we are delighted to have been recognised in this way.
“We have 28 full and part-time staff and 25 residents and we all played a part in receiving this recognition.”
Manager Val Campbell, from Thornham, added: “We believe we go the extra mile here for our residents and staff and that is why we have been recognised.
“Our staff do a really wonderful job — this has been a joint effort by each and every one of us and I want to place on record the management’s appreciation of the staff for their support.”
