AN Oldham company picked up a prestigious accolade at the Greater China Business Awards for the North-West.
Ultimate Products Ltd, of Chadderton, which sources and sells more than 6,000 lines of products in 15 categories, including kitchen appliances, toys, watches and pet products, was named runner-up.
Ultimate Products has bases in Hong Kong and mainland China and was rewarded in a competitive category with six other companies.
Organised by UK Trade and Investment North-West and the North-West Development Agency, the event rewards companies and organisations making the most significant contribution to developing business or network links with Greater China.
Ultimate’s Stuart Ettleman (second, from right) received the award from (left to right) Clive Drinkwater, international trade director, and Philomena Chen, head of Asia Pacific development, for UK Trade and Investment North-West, and Robert Hough, chairman of the North-West Regional Development Agency.

Following the success of the first event in February, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce is hosting another Young Professionals’ Networking event at Manchester 235 Casino in Manchester city centre tomorrow.
Starting at 7pm, the event is open to members and non-members and will provide an excellent opportunity to network with young professionals from across Greater Manchester.
