Businesses in the first three years of trading in Oldham are invited to attend a free “Make eBay work for your business” workshop on Monday at 5pm at the Earl Mill, Dowry Street, Hathershaw.
Organised by business support agency Blue Orchid, the three-hour event will provide practical guidance on key areas of running a business.
Blue Orchid managing director and Oldham spokesman Heather Hayes believes eBay is one of the most powerful websites in the world and provides real opportunities to make money.
She said: “The eBay workshop is an ideal way to learn how to capitalise on the internet to help grow your business. eBay has a massive potential to open up a business to a whole new client base — regionally, nationally and even internationally.
“It has rapidly grown as a business tool and this workshop will be looking at a number of case studies which have secured significant sales through the site. The event is aimed at people from all backgrounds who want to learn how to create an eBay business account, how to get the most out of it and begin to expand their business online.”
The event is publicly funded, free and available to anyone who has set up a new business in Oldham. For further details, email events@theblueorchid.co.uk or telephone: 0161-485 4949.
