A TELECOMS business set up eight years ago by an Oldham woman has moved back to the borough from its central Manchester base.
T1 Telecoms, a voice and data solutions provider, has quit Portland Tower in the city centre for offices in the Hollinwood Business Centre.
Nicola Donnelly (33), from Delph, who has been with the company for several years, has taken over as managing director with a brief from owner Andrea Wilson-Brown to continue to grow the business. Andrea, from Hollinwood, set up T1 Telecoms from her home in Royton and recruited Nicola because of her previous experience in the industry.
Explained Nicola: “We had worked together for a number of years and knew there was a market for the products in which we specialise.
“We deliver a reduction in costs, but not in quality or service, because we know the industry and we know our customers.”
Andrea has taken up an offer to become managing director of a digital business in Manchester, with which T1 Telecoms has strong developmental ties.
Nicola was quick to take up the invitation to manage the business and believes the move to Oldham will lead to further growth.
“The benefits are many and obvious,” said Nicola.
“Only the other day I was able to drive out and see a customer, discuss the business a needs and very quickly agree to deliver a solution.
“This ability to react quickly sets us apart from the competition.”
