MARTIN Wray, who has run Wrays Furnishers in Oldham for 40 years, is retiring.
Mr Wray, who has premises in Union Street, plus outlets in Sale and Altrincham, is closing the three businesses.
His sons, Marcus and Matthew, are starting a new business, The Sofa Market, in Oldham and Sale from September and are planning a luxury goods store in the Altrincham premises.
Mr Wray is hoping to clear all the stock in his three stores and is planning private viewing for loyal customers starting from tomorrow.
