AN Oldham man is behind the formation of a consultancy that aims to help organisations save money.
Procurement specialist David Turner, from Diggle, has set up Sourcing Vantage with fellow director Douglas MacKellar, a Cheshire man with a similar business background.
The business carries out spend analysis, strategy and policy, cost reduction and eProcurement.
Mr Turner, who has 20 years’ experience of the procurement industry, and his colleagues also undertake supply chain strategy, purchasing policy and procedures including EU procurement advice and tender response.
He said: “We work with our clients to understand their procurement needs, analyse total spend and provide meaningful management information — on what you spend, with whom, where and when.”
“There is no limit to what we source,” says Mr Turner, who was previously with ARR Spend Management Solutions, a consultancy he established in 2007.
The consultancy, which has recruited former HSBC Bank man Steven Buckley, from Royton, and Mike Carswell, from Stockport, as associates, is currently working with local authorities and housing groups.
Mr Turner added: “We have been a loose grouping for about 12 months, and we have now come together to set up this consultancy to improve supply and contract management.”
