SPORTS clubs in Oldham and surrounding areas are being targeted by a new business set up by the joint managers of Springhead FC.

Andy Revill has teamed up with long-time football colleague Lee McAllister to establish Live4Soccer, based in Lees.

They will supply any sports items from football kits and accessories to trophies and storage equipment.

Andy (36), from Lees, is working full time in the new venture after taking redundancy from his job in the engineering industry, while Lee (35), also from Lees, is an an investment partner at this stage, working with the business at weekends.

The pair have invested £30,000 to set up Live4Soccer and can operate exclusively anywhere in the OL postcode.

They already have their sights set on expansion into neighbouring areas and are already finding business elsewhere, including Merseyside.

Andy said: “We both have a background in football and realise that many sports clubs have problems in sourcing equipment that suits their needs and budgets.

“There are a number of incentives we can offer including setting up a ClubShop whereby sporting organisations can make money for themselves while selling equipment to their own members, supporters and friends.”

In addition to a range of branded equipment, Andy and Lee offer their own sports brand, Sabre.

They also promise a rapid turnaround service — they were able to supply a fully printed kit for a cup final to Saddleworth School within five days of the order being placed.

Another of their ventures is StreetArena, a multi-use portable sports area which is attracting interest from councils, voluntary groups and community associations.
