POLE Travel, an independent agent in Failsworth, has scooped a Travel Weekly Magazine Mystery Shopper award.
The magazine’s spy wanted to follow the England football team in South Africa and asked four local travel agents to help.
Jillian Waute, from the Oldham Road shop, said: “We are very proud of this achievement which rates our service, knowledge, appearance and overall experience.”
A spokesman for the magazine said: “There was a vast difference in knowledge but well done to Pole Travel for providing excellent advice.”
Scoring Pole Travel with 93 per cent, the Travel Weekly citation read: “Although the agent took some time to find a decent deal, she had excellent social skills and used my name on many occasions.
“She covered all aspects of the trip and asked lots of questions to clarify the request.”
