Mark rises to new role at bakery

A Warburtons’ bakery worker has risen through the ranks at the Shaw production plant.
Mark Platt has recently been promoted to the role of sales and distribution manager at the family bakers in Glebe Street. He has worked for the business for 18 years., and.
He joined as a delivery driver, aged 27, moved into sales development and was soon promoted to duty supervisor, before becoming van operations manager. In his new role he will be responsible for the sales and dispatch teams, as well as the garage and 45-strong fleet of vehicles.
A delighted Mark said: “I am really looking forward to my new role. I have been with the business for a long time and have seen many changes.
“The new role brings a much greater level of responsibility with it, which I relish.”
