IT’S all systems go for the third One Oldham Business Awards with all parties determined that the 2011 event will be bigger and better than ever.
Reflecting the growing confidence of the Oldham economy, the 11 categories have all attracted ‘blue chip’ sponsorship and the list of associate sponsors continues to grow.
Steering Group members, working alongside title sponsors NatWest, Oldham Council and the Oldham Chronicle, are convinced they can build on the success of the past two years and surpass the entry levels of previous years.
There is a groundswell of opinion within the business community that Oldham is on the up — as a borough and place to be — and the sheer depth of quality attracted to the One Oldham Business awards is testimony to these feelings.
Lee Crook, from NatWest, has been involved with the awards from the outset in 2008 and is convinced that Oldham businesses benefit from recognition.
He said: “To simply be involved in these awards is a huge boost for a company — there is undoubtedly a business benefit and also a reflection on staff and clients that the whole of the firm is going in the right direction.
“I would urge everyone to get involved.”
