Software firm gets a grip on hard times

OLDHAM software developers Web Applications UK Ltd sponsored the Travel Technology Initiative’s autumn conference the Travel Innovation Summit at the Institute of Engineering and Technology in London.
The Windsor Works, Mumps-based business is a specialist in the travel technology industry.
“We have been growing steadily and gaining speed in what can only be called a difficult economy,” said chief executive Craig Dean.
“We have, in the past few months, signed three new contracts worth in excess of £2 million.
“We enjoy sponsoring, attending and speaking at numerous travel and technology centred conferences and exhibitions. At the Travel Innovation Summit we were extremely happy to be joined on stage by the likes of Virgin Galactic, thetrainline.com and Skyscanner to name a few.”
Mr Dean delivered the keynote speech on the topic of innovation with a focus on the importance of getting the right people on your workforce.
His presentation, entitled “The Driving Force of Innovation” called for continuous cultural change using innovation and declared that growth and innovation are driven by people.
He has spoken at a number of these events, including with the the panel at Travolution’s Question Time.
