Return to profit for toy company

OLDHAM firm Toy Options, which will distribute two of the country’s top-selling toys this Christmas has announced a 24 per cent rise in group sales in the 2009 financial year.
The company, based at Leesfield Mill, Lees, has grown revenues to £85.23 million and group profit before tax is £7.55 million, compared with a loss of £2.17 million in 2009.
Richard King, executive chairman of parent company Character Group plc, said: “We are working on a number of other exciting opportunities, including a new offering. We are expecting to announce some of these in the New Year to coincide with the London Toy Fair.
“We are confident that these developments and initiatives will take the business to a new level once again.”
