ENTREPRENEUR Alfie Miah has high hopes for his latest business venture — The Smooth Bar in Chadderton.
Formerly part of the cabaret offering at Delight Spice, the spacious bar in Crompton Street has a licence until 3am and Mr Miah and his associates are confident they will be a success.
They have invested heavily to create at atmosphere and ambience for an adult crowd who want a “quiet drink in classy surroundings” the former restaurateur said.
He added: “There is a certainly a demand for a late-licence venue in Chadderton. People do not always want to go into the city centre or Oldham and all the hassle that entails. We are convince we have an opportunity here to tap into a market for local people to enjoy a late drink after a hectic week in work with like-minded people.”
Smooth Bar has VIP and bar areas, says Mr Miah, and will cater for a “discerning clientele”.
