Groundwork Oldham, in partnership with Oldham Community Leisure and Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, is hosting a corporate triathlon competition at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre in July.
Companies within the Oldham borough are able to enter teams of four employees, to participate in the inaugural Oldham Enterprise Try-athlon, on Sunday, July 17. The competition will comprise the usual three disciplines of swimming (1.2k), cycling (20k) and running (5k).
The emphasis is to encourage people who don’t usually participate in such events to improve their fitness, increase staff morale and raise money for their chosen charity.
As part of the entrance fee (£80 per team), each individual participant will receive full membership to Oldham Leisure’s seven centres for the training period up to the big event.
Places are limited so anyone thinking of entering a team should email kate.harcus@groundwork.org.uk or call her on 0161-624 1444 as soon as possible.
