OLDHAM business Ultimate Products, which sources and designs household goods for more than 450 retailers, including Tesco, Marks and Spencer and Walmart, has been listed in the second Sunday Times HSBC International Track 100.
This league table ranks Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing international sales.
Based in Victoria Street, Chadderton, Ultimate Products sells across five continents and exports reached £23 million in 2010, up 73 per cent a year compared with 2008.
The league table is sponsored by HSBC and Grant Thornton and is compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based networking events and research company.
Rugby sponsors
AMP Wire, of Chadderton, is once again sponsoring Oldham Rugby League Club.
AMP, a top European supplier of wire products, backed Roughyeds for the first time in 2010. The new deal will see AMP become more involved over the next 12 months, sponsoring the dugouts at the Whitebank Stadium, the team’s goalkicker and Oldham-born Danny Whitmore.
“We’ll also be encouraging our staff to support the Roughyeds and we’ll be using the Whitebank Stadium hospitality suite for meetings and other in-house get-togethers,” said AMP’s managing director Pam Pelham, a member of the Oldham Business Leadership Group.
