Building a bigger network

FRUSTRATING transport problems caused by the town’s road works, exacerbated by a blazing bus at Mumps roundabout, did not deter more than 60 business people attending the Chronicle Business networking evening hosted by Groundwork Oldham.
Sponsored by Lloyds Banking Group, the evening featured a buffet supper, a welcome by Groundwork executive director Cliff Ellison, a call from Evening Chronicle editor David Whaley for the business community to enter the business category of the Pride in Oldham awards and an introduction to work clubs in Chadderton by Richard Outram.
These events are increasingly popular and the Chronicle is already working with Jill Maude, from Lloyds, on the next event.
