HILLS Panel Products Ltd, created when the three Hill brothers who were part of the Hills Timber Products business decided to go their own way, celebrated 20 years of growth and success with an exhibition.
More than 500 people attended from as far afield as Kent and Inverness, and staff conducted more than 150 tours of the manufacturing facility at Scottfield Road, Primrose Bank.
Managing director Stephen Hill said: “We have had nothing but good comments back from all who came.
“Some of our new products included a sliding wardrobe door system with a softclose feel, new colours and designs in our kitchen and bedroom door ranges and one of our key suppliers Blum used the event to launch its new concealed softclose runner system into the UK.
“With all the new ideas, contacts and better relationships developed over the two days we are confident we can push our business forward and grow in what is still a very difficult market place.”
The trade exhibition for customers and potential clients was held in a 10,000 sq ft marquee and visitors met 24 exhibitors and also enjoyed food and entertainment.
The Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Richard Knowles, officially opened the event.
Added Steven: “The celebration was spurred by the fact that we have been trading 20 years this year and we wanted to do something besides a party.”
