Alison lures the super-achievers

OLDHAM is to host an achievers’ event — The MAC2011 — based on the hugely successful London model.
The Manchester Achievers’ Conference is being organised by Alison Hornsby, from The Enterprise Centre, Hathershaw, and is aimed at business people and leaders throughout the North-West.
Taking place at the Grand Venue in Westwood, Oldham, the conference is on Saturday, November 12 starting at 9.30am.
Delegates will have access to world-class business coaches and mentors, access to the Achievers’ Network for future trade opportunities and access to the secrets of successful marketing techniques proven to increase income by 34 per cent.
After attending a similar event in London, Alison, who is based at the Earl Business Centre, was determined that the benefits of such an event reverberate through the region.
“It was a terrific conference and so inspiring. But there were very few of us from the North and so I got to thinking that we should have one, too,” she said.
Working with Jonathan Phillips, from the business unit at Oldham Council, Alison has put together a programme which includes two of television’s “Secret Millionaires”, property magnate Kevin Green and Greenfield man Gavin Wheeldon, who owns Applied Language Solutions Ltd in Delph.
Councillor Nigel Newton, a founder member of the Oldham business leadership group and managing director of Clarke Telecom Ltd and Dan Sodergren, a marketing master who has shared a seminar stage with James Caan of “Dragons’ Den” fame, are also scheduled to speak.
Adds Alison” The aim is to inspire, motivate and celebrate businesses and entrepreneurs, to raise the bar on their own success.
“Normally these events are held in London but we believe that Greater Manchester has the capacity and determination to influence the global economy.”
A range of attendance packages are available, tailored to suit everyone.
