A BUS operator in central, south and west London and across north Surrey has completed a three-stage process to install planning and timetabling software by Omnibus, based in Hollinwood Business Centre.
Omnibus software is used for the timetabling and scheduling for its 1,800 staff, operating 600 buses across 77 routes from six depots for Abellio London & Surrey. Omnibus is also providing bus-stop timetable displays for Abellio’s routes in Surrey.
As well as improving the day-to-day efficiency of current operations, Abellio London and Surrey also uses Omnibus systems to help prepare tenders for new routes.
Founded 21 years ago by Peter and Carol Crichton, from Grotton, Omnibus was first established in Horsedge Street, Oldham, relocating to Hollinwood seven years ago.
The UK’s leading supplier of timetable, scheduling and roadside display software to the passenger transport industry, Omnibus provides modules for constructing timetables, schedules, rotas and bus stop displays to a wide range of public transport operators and local authorities.
Programs are installed at more than 150 sites in the UK and overseas.
