OLDHAM is experiencing a mini-renaissance in the commercial property market according to one of the borough’s newest players.
Twelve months after Joanne Nuttall joined forces with Richard Breakey to create Oldham’s newest commercial property agency Breakey Nuttall, the Roger Hannah trainee is convinced the market is picking up.
“Landlords and owners are simply having to be realistic,” she told me, adding: “Deals are being done.
“There are lots of reasons why properties remain empty, but there are lots of new starts out there looking for premises and I have been active from day one of the partnership doing deals.
“There is no doubt in my mind that there are deals to be done,” she said.
“I am hearing much less gloom from tenants/buyers on the ground and there is enthusiasm in the air.”
