TWO design students who found casual outlets for their skills on holiday in New Zealand have set up their own design business.
Katie Lemmings (22), from Royton, and Mark Cahill (24), from Ashton, have established The Design Lemon in Middleton, specialising in graphic design.
The pair met on a communication design course at the University of Huddersfield and after graduation spent two months in New Zealand, where they both picked up design work.
Their success gave the pair the confidence to start up on their own back in the UK and already they are picking up work.
Katie said: “We are doing a diverse range of work at the moment, including for an electrician and a comedian.” They are also still in touch with clients in New Zealand.
