TOUR de France winner and Olympic gold medallist Bradley Wiggins has used a Saddleworth PR company to promote his new charitable foundation.
Pelican PR, based in Mill Street, Uppermill, helped to coordinate and manage media relations for the foundation’s first “Ride with Brad” event, which saw 1,500 cyclists take to the hills of Lancashire earlier this month.
The Bradley Wiggins Foundation will promote participation in sport and encourage people to exercise regularly by taking part in cycling, training camps and other sporting events.
Pelican PR associate director Richard Truman said: “We genuinely believe that athletes like Brad can inspire people to achieve their own goals.”
