PULSE Home Products, the Oldham-based company behind Breville and Dirt Devil, has been sold by its private equity owner Rutland Partners to US company Jarden Corporation.
Rutland, which bought 80 per cent of Pulse Home Products for £27 million in August, 2007, reported an “attractive” return of 1.5 times its original investment — valuing the deal at a little more than £40 million.
Pulse is based at the Vine Mill in Middleton Road, Royton and is responsible for products sold under the Nicky Clarke, JCB, Bush, Hinari and Power Devil brand names, as well as Breville and Dirt Devil.
