A TALENTED musician has invested more than £10,000 to open a new rehearsal facility in Oldham.
David Flint (44), from Shaw, has created Shure5studios at Moss Lane, Heyside.
The studios have five fully-equipped rehearsal rooms,, offices and reception, every afternoon and evening. David and his wife Lisa also have plans for expansion once the centre is fully operational.
“At present we are struggling to fill all the rooms — bands and performers probably don’t know we are here,” admitted Dave, who is also working part-time in engineering to support his new venture.
He said: “When I was in a band we had to travel to central Lancashire to find a rehearsal room so I know just how difficult it is.
“All of my studios have drum kits, amps, speakers and microphones. All the artistes have to do is bring is their instruments.
I know I can make this work, there is a real demand out there for this type of facility.”
Dave’s website is www.shure5studios.co.uk.
