AN Oldham business leader has been named one of the rising stars of the catering world - the UK’s second-largest employment sector.
Linda Lewis, founder and managing director of Linda Lewis Kitchens in Royton, who has spent 15 years in the industry, was honoured at the inaugural ceremony in London.
The “Hot 100” featured catering’s top innovators, rising stars, unsung heroes, business leaders and winning teams.
Linda (46), from Royton, was named in the Rising Stars category.
Linda founded the business six years ago with three partners. Three years ago she bought out her partners and is now the major shareholder at premises in Union Street, Royton.
Her daughter Jenna (22), from Newhey, is an equity partner, as is financial director Joe Soloman (30). The business deals with all kinds of commercial kitchen equipment but specialises in pizza ovens, which account for around half of the company’s projected £850,000 turnover.
