NOMINATIONS are starting to arrive for the 2013 One Oldham Business Awards - which this year feature two new categories.
A new-look website is open and the volunteer steering group which runs the awards is gearing up for record entries.
Chairman Steve Kilroy from Chadderton said: “This is our fifth year and each time we have grown the number of nominations. I would love this to happen again in our fifth year.
“We are revamping the categories and the awards presentations to reflect the changing times and the fact we want to keep the evening fresh and alive.”
The new categories are for Local Community Engagement and Supporting Young People.
Judges in the Community Engagement category will be looking to see how much a company or organisation gets involved with the local community; how much emphasis is put on improved efficiencies; and do staff provide great ideas to save money and/or time?
The winner of the Supporting Young People award will demonstrate a continuing career support programme for people up to the age of 30, whether through apprenticeships or work experience.
The deadline for entries is Friday, March 22.
