A FOOD and networking event marked the launch of a new business venture for the Chadderton-based Safeguard group
The company, a leading supplier of products for the air conditioning, commercial refrigeration and hospitality industries, has been established in Oldham for more than 20 years, but this was its first event of this kind.
The company used the event to showcase its education and community work following a partnership with OLIS, a leading Italian catering equipment maker.
What began as a one-man operation working from a kitchen table has defied the recession and grown into a business that lists international brands such as TGI Friday’s among its clients.
The company, based at Westwood Industrial Estate, is now developing environmentally-friendly products and projects with local schools, charities and community groups.
