THE first Oldham Market Place has given the public a chance to find out more about local business and services.
The event - every fortnight in the Limo Lounge, Waterloo Street - is open to members of the public who want to find out more about town centre business.
Each Market Place will have a theme, the first of which was “home and family”. Future events will focus on health, wellbeing, fashion and fun.
Event organiser Julie Crowley, said: “I set about organising this so businesses that don’t have a high street presence and aren’t known to the public can introduce themselves to customers.
“I felt I needed something like this for my own business and realised that others may also need an outlet.”
The next Market Place is on July 3 (10.30am-3.30pm), on an “events and celebrations” theme.
