A BRADFORD business has relocated its management team to offices in Saddleworth as part of a planned expansion.

Inpsed Ltd, a freight forwarding business established 16 years ago by Denshaw man Richard Bartlett, now has offices at the Gatehead Business Park, Delph.

Based there are managing director Mr Bartlett (45), his wife Lauren, the company’s customer services director, and business development manager Adam Blakemore.

The rest of the operation remains at the previous headquarters on the outskirts of Bradford.

The Yorkshire city, with its proximity to the M62 and M1, has long been the freight forwarding capital of the country. Five of Insped’s biggest competitors are based on the same road.

Mr Bartlett, who had two years experience of the industry before setting up his own company, will retain the Bradford presence — as well as the warehousing operation in Manchester and a new site in Basildon, Essex — while looking for space in Oldham.

“We tried to move to Kingsway in Rochdale but, basically, they didn’t want us,” Mr Bartlett said.

He added: “My wife and I are Oldham people and we want to build our business in Oldham. We will bring in apprentices and young people and through our links with Mahdlo we will offer on-the-job training to young people and work experience.

“We are buying into Councillor Jim McMahon’s ‘Get Oldham Working’ campaign and we have already pledged to help. This move into Oldham is the start of that process.”

Insped Ltd has customers all over the world and has just signed a deal with major carrier Cathay Pacific which will mean it can offer hugely competitive deals for traffic to the Far East.
