£350,000 upgrades follow management buy-out

ROYTON aerosols and chemicals company James Briggs Ltd has completed a £350,000 upgrade its bulk storage tanks.

The major investment follows a management buy-out and includes the commissioning of a new bulk tank farm to replace old units at the firm’s Salmon Fields site, plus other elements to improve safety.

The company has also launched a new website.

The site will be expanded later in the year to include an online sales platform and instant messaging, which customers can use to contact the company in real time.

Managing director Mark Lyth said: “The new tank farm installation shows a real long-term commitment to the business.

“This significant investment is helping us to create a safer environment and improving the service we can offer our customers.”

The business, founded in 1830, designs, formulates and manufactures a wide range of products including paints, lubricants, cleaning fluids and polishes for automotive, industrial, hygiene and other sectors and employs nearly 200 staff on two sites in Royton and Chadderton.
