OLDHAM Coliseum is the first team to enter the Oldham Corporate Cup, sponsored by Barclays and Chronicle Business.
The event, at the White Hart, Lydgate, on November 21, will raise funds for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice and is being organised by the team responsible for the successful One Oldham Business Awards.
OOBA chair Steve Kilroy said: “We have a fabulous event once a year which supports Mahdlo and we wanted to get all those business people together again to raise funds for another charity in Oldham. We can accommodate 40 teams and every penny we raise in entry fees will go to Dr Kershaw’s, matched pound for pound by Barclays, who are providing a trophy and supper.”
Other organisations already looking to be named Oldham’s top corporate quiz team are Oldham Athletic, Pearsons Solicitors, Outside Management Ltd, the Oldham Chronicle and, of course, the Barclays team at High Street in Oldham.
