Jobs boost looking healthy

Twenty five jobs have been created at Molnlycke Health Care following a £2.2 million investment programme at company’s Medlock Street factory.
The investment, which took 12 months to complete, increases the factory’s competitiveness and widens its product range.
The factory became part of Molnlycke Health Care in 2005 as part of a merger with Medlock Medical - previously known as Seton Products.
The 11.5-acre site has more than 220 employees making 230 products sold in the UK and abroad.
The Oldham site is the only factory in the group with a licence to manufacture pharmaceutical products.
“We are pleased to be creating new job opportunities in Oldham,” said Nick Douglas, Molnlycke Health Care’s factory manager.
“As part of this programme we have also invested in training existing staff in the use of new technologies.”
