RECORD ticket sales have made the sixth One Oldham Business Awards the biggest and best yet.
With entries closing at just over 100 in 10 categories, the judges have had their most difficult sessions since the awards were launched.
Chairman Steve Kilroy, a Chadderton man and senior manager at BAE Systems who has led the awards since their inception in 2009, said: “The quality of this year’s entries is the best ever, and by some distance. This is the culmination of many years of hard work by the business people of Oldham.
“We always knew we had some fantastic businesses and organisations, and now we are seeing these reflected in the nominations.”
The awards will be announced at a gala, black-tie dinner at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Oldham, on Friday, March 21.
