STAFF numbers at cash-handling equipment manufacturer Innovative Technology Ltd have grown by 22 in the first six months of the year.
The company has 250 employees across the globe, 110 of whom are employed in Oldham.
Eight permanent new recruits joined the Derker Street, Oldham, business during May and June — as have 13 summer placement students.
Recruitment co-ordinator Karen Holloren told Chronicle Business: “During the last two months we have seen staff join our electronics, design and marketing departments, including a number of new graduate positions.”
The company has opened it doors to friends and family of employees, allowing young people to gain work experience over the summer holidays.
Karen added: “Thirteen young people are gaining work experience in a number of areas of the business, including operations, IT and test.
“This is a great opportunity for young people to undertake real work experience and earn some money, too.”
June was a month of celebrations for the award-winning company. The Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, Warren Smith, visited the factory to officially present the Queen’s award for Enterprise: International Trade at a party for European staff.
Guests enjoyed a Champagne reception and three-course meal at a party organised by Dayna Patterson for ITL staff from Russia and Spain, Ireland as well as the UK.
