SADDLEWORTH freight forwarding business Insped Ltd has made significant changes as part of an expansion programme that includes opening a London office.
The business, founded in 1997 by Denshaw man Richard Bartlett, has an office and warehouse in Bradford, and last year opened a sales and admin HQ in Delph.
Part of the expansion plan includes the promotion of Lauren Bartlett to managing director. Born in Middleton, she takes over day-to-day running of the business from her husband, who becomes chief operating officer. It’s an exciting time for the company, which has business in Portugal, France, Spain, Italy and Germany.
Expansion comes following an invitation to Insped to become the only UK member of an Italy-based network of freight forwarders.
Lauren said: “This will open new markets for the business in new areas and also allow Insped to pass preferred rates to existing and new customers making the business more competitive.”
