JD Williams has appointed Eric Wright Construction to build its warehouse extension in Shaw.
Beal Lane is a distribution centre for leading fashion brands such as Simply Be and Jacamo, sending parcels throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe and America.
Construction is already underway. The building is expected to be open by February 2016.
Ian Carr, logistics director for JD Williams, said: “The expansion of the Shaw site demonstrates our commitment to providing full-time employment opportunities within the local community.”
Councillor Howard Sykes added: “This is good news for Shaw and Oldham.”
The site employs up to 1,000 people.
