Fresh approach to finance
Date published: 28 November 2014
Struggling Oldham businesses with potential are benefiting from a fresh approach to delivering specialist investment.
Grasscroft finance expert Paul Reeves is at the heart of the exercise.
The former DTE Bury partner is a director at Aqvvs Capital, which is experiencing a dramatic increase in demand for equity funding from niche investors.
Finance options are available for small and medium enterprises with specific issues, typically with turnover of less than £10 million. Aqvvs links these businesses to investors who have the funds and industry-specific knowledge.
As the alternative investment and funding arm of Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group (LCBSG), Aqvvs also gives investee firms access to the group’s specialist service lines. These include business turnaround, HMRC restructuring services, interim management and professional financial advisers.

Mr Reeves commented: “We provide a different dimension by bringing niche investors with sector expertise to businesses needing £50,000 to £1 million — sums not normally associated with the private equity sector.
“Real added values comes from our suite of services which have consistently enabled stressed businesses with stifled potential to reverse their fortunes and truly prosper.”
