Paul on the panel

AN Oldham-born millionaire businessman will sit on a new panel advising the Government on economic policy and the EU referendum.
Paul Walsh, chair of catering firm Compass Group, will sit on the Business Advisory Group alongside key figures such as Bob Dudley (BP), Nigel Wilson (Legal and General), Carolyn McCall (easyJet), Jayne-Anne Ghadia (Virgin Money), Andy Clarke (Asda), Warren East (Rolls-Royce) and Ana Botin (Santander).
Mr Walsh, a former student of Royton and Crompton School and Oldham College, has formerly headed food giant Pilsbury and global drinks company Diageo. The panel will meet each quarter.
