OLDHAM construction and regeneration firm Emanuel Whittaker has recruited a new health, safety and environment adviser.

Gareth Mayers (26) has joined the Rochdale Road company from Novus Property Solutions, which has branches across the UK. He has worked in the social housing and construction industry for over a decade, across a variety of health and safety disciplines including large construction and refurbishment programmes.

Clive Newton, managing director of Emanuel Whittaker, said: “We take our health and safety responsibilities very seriously. Gareth’s appointment strengthens our existing team and will ensure we remain compliant within what can be a daunting area of legislation for many companies.”
