SPONSORS of the 2016 Oldham Business Awards are encouraging nominations by highlighting the benefits of taking part.
The different stages of the contest provide several numerous opportunities to promote and improve a business.
The 2016 awards’ deadline is November 20., with the ceremony on May 13 at Oldham’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. Organisers expect an audience of more than 500 business leaders, entrepreneurs, politicians and media representatives - a prime opportunity for networking as well as a great event
Sponsors so far include Innovative Technology, Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers, Tech Angels, MID Communications, Santander Bank, Unity Partnership and Oldham Business Leadership Group and Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub.
Dave Benstead, from Oldham Business Leadership Group and a director at semiconductor firm Diodes Zetex in Chadderton, said: “I’d strongly recommend getting involved with the awards. Being shortlisted can improve your brand-awareness and promote business to new customers.
“Taking part also provides an opportunity to celebrate hard work and success, and is a great PR opportunity for business. It’s important to make sure that people know what your business has achieved and fantastic to gain recognition through taking part. Winning can open doors to new contracts, new supply chains and new markets.”
Now in its eighth year, the Oldham Business Awards have become the main event in the borough’s business community social calendar. The awards are wholly funded by the private sector and put together by volunteers from all sections of the business environment.
Any company in the area, whether public, private or third sector, can enter. See website oldhambusinessawards.co.uk for details.
