Chamber urges members to get connected

THE Chronicle has been among the first companies to back a new banner campaign publicising Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce services.
The chamber launched the “We’re Connected” campaign, encouraging businesses to display special banners in reception areas and offices.
Chronicle business editor Robbie MacDonald welcomed Michelle Gibbons, the chamber’s Oldham and Rochdale membership manager, to unveil the banner.
Michelle, who also writes for the Chronicle’s quarterly Oldham Business Edge magazine, said: “The new campaign highlights the benefits of good local, national and international connections for business.
“Chamber members are well connected at a local and Greater Manchester level, and being part of the British Chamber accredited network means that they are also part of a strong UK network.
“Our overseas business network means we can connect our members to businesses and contacts in countries around the world, and we’re very proud to do so.”
The chamber’s next Oldham breakfast meeting is on January 19 from 7.30am-9.30am. Guests will get the chance to meet the chamber’s new Oldham vice-president, Joanne Taylor, who is head of marketing for Capita Translation Services in Delph.
