PARK Cake Bakeries has seen its turnover rise to over £140million for the year with help from a £40 million new Marks & Spencer contract.
The Oldham business has its head bakery in Hathershaw and another factory in Bolton, and supplies cakes, sponge rolls and turnovers to a range of retailers, including M&S.
The latest set of results showed a £28 million rise in annual tunover.
The Marks contract, announced in February 2014, initially cost Park more than £10million in one-off costs - but a new report says sales rose significantly afterwards and the 2015/16 financial year will be the first to show the full value.
