Group seeks new award sponsors

THE Oldham Business Awards organising group is searching for new sponsors for the 2017 awards.

Planning has begun for next year's awards, which will be the ninth, and organisers are also looking further ahead to the 2018 awards, which will be the tenth anniversary.

Dawn Torrington, of Doing Biz For Yourself, recently joined the Oldham Business Awards steering group as a volunteer and is helping to find new sponsors.

She said sponsorship packages covering all parts of the awards process are available for all sizes of business. A calendar of events throughout the year has also been developed to raise awareness of the awards, encourage entries and enhance networking and promotional opportunities for sponsors. These will include a launch event in the autumn, a corporate quiz in the winter, a reception for shortlisted entrants and sponsors in the spring and the final awards ceremony at Queen Elizabeth Hall on May 12, 2017.

There are opportunities for overall 'headline' sponsors plus others including individual award categories.
