A TELECOMS firm is celebrating receiving silver accreditation from Investors in People (IIP).
MID Communications based at Broadgate Business Park, Chadderton, is an independent franchise of Telefonica O2.
It serves business and private customers from its Chadderton head office and also runs a network of O2 retail shops across the north west. It has been operating for more than 10 years and employs more than 110 people.
The business has received silver IIP accreditation, demonstrating its commitment to high performance through good people management.
Danny Simpson, sales director, said the business is one of the fastest-growing O2 franchise partners in the north west, with business from Cheshire to the Fylde coast.
Regarding the IIP accreditation, he said: "I am so pleased and proud of our people and of the business. This is a great reflection of our ethos to lead people at all levels and to let them guide our business. We believe that together everyone achieves more. Everyone plays an important part of our company's success."
Paul Devoy, head of Investors in People, told the Chronicle: "We'd like to congratulate MID Communications. IIP accreditation is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to success."
Steve Burrows, managing director of IIP in the north of England, said: "This is a fantastic achievement for MID Communications and I would like to congratulate all of the team."
Investors in People began in 1991 and its accreditation is now held by 14,000 organisations across the world.
