A NORTH-West Tory Euro-MP who is a former UK trade minister dropped into Oldham Sixth Form College to chat to students.
Sir Robert Atkins supported local Conservative candidate Kashif Ali, who is fighting for the Oldham East and Saddleworth seat.
Sir Robert, who was a Lancashire MP from 1979 to 1997, is now a member of the European Parliament’s committee on foreign affairs.
Mr Ali, a barrister, lives in St Mary’s Ward and is standing for his first UK election.
