A GROOM from Oldham who crashed a supercar in a police chase following a stag do brawl has been jailed.
Nasar Hanif (29), of Copster Hill Road, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for dangerous driving and assault causing actual bodily harm at Manchester Crown Court on Friday.
Hanif and friends went out with friends in Manchester in October last year with a convoy of luxury cars hired for the wedding, including an Audi R8 Spyder, driven by the groom.
In the early hours of October 10, outside The Printworks, the group got into argument with two men in town for a rugby game, which resulted in a brawl.
One of the rugby fans was chased off while the other was kicked by Hanif and seven of his friends. The group fled after dragging the man they assaulted out of the road.
Police tailed cars to Oldham Road, Failsworth, and attempted to block the Audi and a Lamborghini Gallardo at the lights before the vehicles reversed and sped off into the Tesco car park.
The Lamborghini escaped however Hanif was caught.
An officer Tasered Hanif at the wheel, with the driver losing control and smashing the car into a lampost.
Hanif ran off, before being found by a police dog.
