Further details on stabbing

A MAN remains in a serious but stable condition after being stabbed in Oldham.
As reported in yesterday's Chronicle, the victim was attacked in Hollins Road shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday.
Police have now released more details saying a group of five males, all wearing dark clothing with the hoods up, were stood on Hollins Road shouting abuse.
One of the residents of the houses came out to challenge them and during the subsequent argument, he was stabbed.
He was taken to hospital where he was treated for multiple stab wounds.
Officers are currently reviewing CCTV and carrying out enquiries.
Detective Constable Leigh Carnally, of GMP's Oldham Borough, said: "I would appeal to anyone with information to come forward."
