A DERELICT house will be demolished after being set alight during a bonfire.
Firefighters from Hollins were called to Newport Street, Coppice, before 11pm on Saturday. A group of youths had set off fireworks in the grounds which then spread to the house.
Three fire engines and an aerial appliance made its way to the scene, and were there for around three hours.
It is believed the council will demolish it today.
