Double trams for shoppers

A Metrolink tram
DOUBLE trams are now operating on the Oldham line in the run-up to Christmas.
They will run on the weekday East Didsbury to Shaw & Crompton services between 7am and 7pm until Friday, December 23.
Metrolink has announced double trams will also operate on the Bury to Etihad Campus and Altrincham to Piccadilly service.
Quick and easy connections to Piccadilly, Victoria and beyond will continue on single trams running from East Didsbury to Deansgate-Castlefield, and Rochdale to Exchange Square.
Cllr Andrew Fender, chair of the Transport for Greater Manchester Committee, said: "We constantly monitor demand to travel across the tram network, listen to feedback from our customers and look for improvements. I'm very pleased we've been able to provide this festive boost."
