Extractor fan fire at Chiropractors on Yorkshire Street, Oldham.
FIREFIGHTERS turned out to a chiropractor in Oldham yesterday afternoon.
An extractor fan at Oldham Chiropractic and Physiotherapy Clinic, in Union Street, had overheated and caused a small fire.
Three pumps were called to the scene, though this was reduced to one, and crews remained at the site for around 30 minutes.
Practice manager Sam Jobey said: "We weren't sure what went wrong with the fan and wanted to take precautionary steps."
Watch manager Craig Rawlinson said: "There was overheated matter in the extractor fan.
"They had used a bucket of water prior to arrival.
"We carried out smoke clearing and checked everything was safe so that the business could re-open."
